The magazine was created by myself ‘Thomas Miller’ and my flatmate
‘Cameron Orr’ but we have had so much help in making the magazine
a reality. Our other Flatmates Jordan Muir, Paul Hempstead and
Steven Peebles have been excellent in generating ideas and illustrating
pages and are all key members of the Mollusk team
(a full list of contributors can be found within issue 1). We are currently
based in Dundee, Scotland but are all originally from Glasgow.
The next issue of Mollusk will be released at the end of June 2012.
Here is what Mollusk had to say about their Magazine:
“We just released the first issue of Mollusk at the end of March and
we couldn’t be happier with the response. It’s great to be receiving
emails from up and coming artists wanting to exhibit there work
within the magazine and we aim to give as many of them as
possible a chance to be featured. We feature a collection of Artists,
Illustrators, Photographers, Producers, Clothing brands and bands.
Alot of the work we feature is by Local Scottish artists but it really
doesn’t make a difference, if an artist produces the sort of work we
are looking for then we’ll get them invovled. Mollusk is currently a
Quarterly magazine which is only available online. At the moment
were really just trying to build a fan base and promote the magazine
as much as possible, Hopefully Nick Cage doesn’t sue and puts us
out after one issue!”
